Bringing Alora Home

       

          After we had Alora this is how Jaron brought her to me.  They put her in the cutest stocking.  She was the best (late) Christmas present we could have asked for.  

           Since we spent two days in the hospital I had A LOT of down time to stare at her cute little face. Looking back at pictures its weird to think how small she was.  She has gown so much since then.  

        When we left the hospital Alora was able to meet some of her cousins as they welcomed her at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

They don't know this yet, but they are going to be best friends.

After she met her cousins she was put in this cute little elf costume.  It was way too big on her, but our little Christmas baby looked adorable.  

That was how we spend out New Years Eve.  We got home from the hospital, people met Alora, watched the ball drop, and then we were in bed.  Coming home from the hospital was a big day for all of us.  Our first New Years as a family of three.

When Alora was born she was a little yellow.  They told us we would have to bring her back in two days to do the test again.  If her levels were still high they would have to do light treatments.  We didn't want her to have to do treatments so we made a make shift light treatment for her.  This little one sure did love the light and heat.  She would have laid there all day if we let her.  

Colby made a little bed to lay next to her. Such a good cousin.  

After spending two days at Jaron's parents house we headed up to Idaho.  Jaron had to get ready for class and I needed to show my sub where a few things were.  That is what happens when your baby comes three weeks early.  Necessary meetings with the sub don't take place. 

        Our drive up was super uneventful.  Alor slept the entire time.  Jaron and I were exhausted by the time we made it to our apartment.  I had no idea sitting in a car could be so tiring. 

         It is so weird to think that Alora spent four nights in different places, and traveled four hours before making it to her own home.
