Goin' to the Temple!

     What better way to spend the day after Disneyland at the most amazing, most beautiful, and most peaceful place on earth? That’s right, the temple! I had the opportunity to go through the Los Angeles Temple for the first time (on February 17, 2011) with my super cute fiancé (now husband), my parents, his mom, his sister and brother-in-law. Along with our family and the Wood family my ward family from the Granada Hills ward came and supported me. It was an awesome experience and I loved every minute of it. My family has this unspoken tradition of going to Titos Tacos after anyone goes through the temple for the first time.  So of course that is what we did.  Oh how I love Mexican food. Jaron loves Mexican food as well, however he had never experienced the pure joy of eating a pastrami sandwich. So my dad, Jaron and a few others walked through the parking lot of Titos to get a hot pastrami sandwich.  Needless to say Jaron loved the pastrami.  I knew he would though. If any of you know Jaron you probably know that he loves to eat and can eat just about anything. The drive home from Titos was quite interesting. It was hard to grasp the thought that the next time I went to the temple, in less than two days, I would be a married woman.  And now I am writing this as a married woman. Kind of weird! 

I'm finally a Clyde!

            In case you haven’t heard Jaron and I finally tied the knot! After six months of being engaged the big day finally came! And it was awesome however, before we blog about the wedding day a lot happened before. Hopefully you enjoy reading these update posts!

            After waiting a month and a half to see fiancé the day had arrive, and I got to pick him up at the airport.  At first I was really excited to pick him up. Then I realized I was really nervous. I had not seen him in so long and I was not sure how things would be but I knew I had to see him eventually if I was going to marry him in four days! So when I finally arrived at the airport I got out and was waiting in his terminal. After waiting for about ten minutes I decided to check the flight times.  I then realize Jaron told me his plane landed thirty minutes before it actually did. So there I was all alone at LAX.  The only thing that was exciting about sitting there by myself was people watching.  There are some pretty interesting people at LAX.

            When I was getting tired of people watching I looked over at the terminal exit.  After a few minutes of watching people exit I saw a really cute boy wearing a blue plaid shirt.  It was then when I got really nervous all over again, Jaron was walking towards me with a huge smile on his face.  He grabbed me and gave me the best hug I have ever received in my entire life.  I fell in love all over again with him. 

            The rest of the day was full of running errands and doing last minute wedding plans.  After a crazy day or errands and wedding stuff Jaron and I were talking g about the surprise I had been planning for him for about a month. I had this fun day all planned out for the next day and I was so excited to just get in the car and drive. However, it didn’t work! Jaron guessed exactly where we were going and I was not able to just take him and surprise him.  Well the secret was out and Jaron got really excited to go to Disneyland.  I decided Jaron and I should have one more relaxing day before the wedding.

            Basically the day we choose to go to Disneyland was perfect. On our way down there it was raining and at one point I was tempted to turn around and just head home because we all know Disneyland is not that great when it is raining.  When we finally got there the sun was out and it was the perfect day.  The entire time we were there it only drizzled a little bit and the rest of the day the weather was perfect.  Oh how I love the weather in Southern California, even in February.

            Overall it was the perfect day and I was with the most amazing man ever.

Best way to celebrate our last few days of being engaged!

     So Jaron and I have spent a lot of time gathering pictures for the slideshow that will be played at out wedding reception.  And during the process I came to a few conclusions. Well first off, I am so in love with this man! He is amazing and I seem to fall more and more in love with him every single day. Yes, it is possible over skype! Who would of known! And second, we are going to have super cute kids! Go ahead and disagree, but I will prove it to you in the future.

Just look at him! Don't you just want to squeeze him! 

Now, can't you just imagine combining the two. We think our kids will be pretty awesome! 

Oh Hey! We're Bloggers!

Well, we are officially part of the blogging community! And when I say ‘we’ that actually means me, Alyssa.  But that might change. I wrote a book for Jaron of ‘Our Story’, and he opened it just a few minutes ago, over skype of course. Oh and he LOVES it! When he found out the reason I decided to get into blogging was so I could make a book every year I think he got a little excited. So maybe he will help me write these posts in the near future, I’m keeping my fingers crossed. 

As of now we are still engaged, but in 16 days that will change and we will be Mr. and Mrs. Jaron Clyde and I cannot wait.  It will be a new chapter in our lives and we will get to write it together.

Being engaged has been so much fun.  Well it was fun when we were in Idaho together.  For the last month or so we have been living at home with our parents just working and getting all of the last minute wedding planning done. So he has been living it up in the freezing tundra of Utah and I have been enjoying a warm Southern California winter.  Even though I have been enjoying the weather it would be nice if Jaron was here enjoying the sun with me.

Now that we are getting closer to our wedding being engaged is not fun at all. I am getting so tired of skyping. Not am I tired of skype but I am also tired of our schedules being so different.  I know our schedules will never be the same, they will always overlap but at least I will be able to see Jaron for at least ten minutes a day! Oh and not only is it a pain not being able to see him, but I am tired of planning a wedding! I swear everyday I have something else to do.  Only 16 more days and then I will be able to relax.

Well, since we are not able to see each other everyday I think I look at our engagement pictures all the time.  It’s only because I have nothing better to do, well I probably do, but getting the slideshow and picking pictures for our center pieces gives me all the right to look at our pictures.  Oh and I do this just about everyday.  A little overboard, I think yes! But I can’t help it he is just too darn cute. So here are a few pictures from our engagement sessions.
